CAUTMA Account
A CAUTMA Account (California Uniform Transfer to Minors Act Account) is designed to hold funds that are to be given to a minor as an irrevocable gift. The funds are used for the minors benefit and are to be used by the minor only.
Features include:
- Minor is the sole owner of the account.
- Minor does not have the capacity to transact on the account.
- The Custodian is the only individual that is authorized to open, withdraw, close, or transact on the account.
