Complimentary Altura Workshop April 17 in Riverside

(Riverside, Calif.) April 3, 2013 – Other than a home, a car is one of the single most expensive things a person can buy. With so much money riding on one decision, car shoppers can become easily overwhelmed. Altura Credit Union is offering a complimentary workshop, “Auto Buying Basics,” on Wednesday, April 17 from 7 to 8:15 a.m. at its headquarters, 2847 Campus Parkway in Riverside.

This workshop is the latest in a series called “Breakfast with Altura” that offers information and tips on common financial challenges. Workshops are open to both Altura members and the general public. Upcoming topics include: resume writing tips, dreaming of buying a home, raising money-smart kids and more.

The April Auto Buying workshop will walk attendees through the process of buying a car, including:

• Things to do before shopping for a car, such as researching pricing and lending options

• What to do when you step onto the car lot, including how to avoid common pitfalls

• What you need to think about when deciding between a new or used car

• Getting the best price and eliminating the hassle of car shopping by using an Auto Locating and Buying Service, like Altura’s Auto Expert

A continental breakfast will be served. Because seating is limited, reservations are requested. Call 1-888-883-7228 to reserve a seat. For more information on this workshop and others, visit www.alturacu.com/education/workshops.
