Promotional Campaigns for Debit Cards & Checking Accounts Lead to Wins

(Riverside, Calif.) May 21, 2013 – Six local residents recently won big in separate promotional campaigns from Altura Credit Union. Winning prizes included $500 in cash and iPad Minis.

Corona resident Daniel Garcia nabbed a $500 cash prize in the April drawing for the “You’re Gonna Love This Card!” promotion. Once a member* has registered their Altura Visa® Debit Card on the Altura website, they are entered to win the cash every time they swipe their card for a purchase. One winner will be drawn each month through December.

Garcia, 21, was happy to win the money, as he is currently working two jobs. He has been an Altura member for two years.

In addition to Garcia, five local residents won Mini iPads the week of May 6 as part of Altura’s “Mini Ways to Win” campaign to promote its checking account products.

The winners from the week of May 6 are:

• Brandon Lee from the Indio Branch

• Sharron Tillman from the Canyon Springs Branch (Moreno Valley)

• Vince Moses from the 14th Street Branch (Riverside)

• Guillermo Altamirano from the Corona Plaza Branch

• Hilda Fuster from the Rancho Mirage Branch

During the promotion, which ended May 15, 2013, anyone who opened a new Altura checking account, or who referred someone who opened a new account, was entered to win an iPad Mini and a Mini Cooper automobile. Mini iPad winners were selected from the entrants each weekday, for a total of 23 winners in all. The grand prize finalist will have a chance to win the 2013 Mini Cooper.
