First Book

Books educate and stir the imagination. Unfortunately, children from low-income families don’t always have easy access. Altura Credit Union began as a credit union for teachers, education remains close to our heart, and so we are partnering with Cal State San Bernardino and an organization called First Book to help bring 40,000 brand new books to children in need across Riverside.

The first 2,000 eligible educators to register will receive free books for every child in their class. Books are available for kindergarteners through age 18.

Registration has been extended until Saturday, August 7th, 2015.
