What do I need to open a MyMoney Checking or Savings account?
Open an account at any Altura branch with ID, a Social Security Card and $25 to deposit. A parent or guardian is required as a joint account holder on all minor accounts. Acceptable IDs for minors include a birth certificate, school ID or other government-issued identification.
Are there any fees?
There is no monthly fee, and no minimum balance requirement!
What can I do with a MyMoney account?
You get a debit card for online and retail purchases, ATM access, and online access to help with parental peace of mind.
This promotional offer applies to new MyMoney Youth Accounts that are opened between November 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. To qualify for the $50 bonus, a new member must open both a MyMoney Youth Account and a 50/50 Certificate of Deposit (CD) during the promotional period. The $50 bonus will be deposited into the 50/50 CD at account opening. The 50/50 CD has a fixed term of 50 weeks. To retain the $50 bonus, the CD must be held until maturity. If the CD is closed or funds are withdrawn before the end of the 50-week term, the $50 bonus will be forfeited and deducted from the account balance. The bonus is considered interest and may be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Limit one bonus per new MyMoney Youth member. Existing MyMoney Youth Account holders are not eligible.
