Skipping Loan Payments
An Easy Way to Save Money
Most Altura Credit Union loans also come with the Skip a Payment option. This is the perfect way to save money when unexpected expenses come up or if money is a little tight. To use the Skip a Payment option, your account must remain in good standing and your loan must already have at least a six-month payment history.
Keep in mind that you will have to pay a small fee if you choose to skip a payment. This is still much easier than having to make your full loan payment. You are limited to one skipped payment per loan, per year. Make sure you request to skip your payment at least one day before your next payment.
Skip a Payment is available on these loans:
- Auto Loans
- RV Loans
- Big Toy Loans
- Signature Loans
Skip a Payment is not available for home equity and mortgage loans. If you’re not sure if your loan qualifies for Skip a Payment, talk to someone at your local Altura branch.
Credit Card Automatic Payment Skips
Altura’s commitment to convenience doesn’t stop with loan repayment. It also extends to your credit card payments. If you have an Altura credit card, you have automatic payment skips every January, August, and September. During these months you can choose to pay the minimum payment due, or you can opt to skip it. This is yet another way that Altura Credit Union is always looking out for you.
To skip a payment, talk to Altura Credit Union’s Member Services by calling 1-888-883-7228. You can also visit your local Altura branch to speak with someone in person.,
