Altura has always been here for our Members during your time of need.
If you are directly affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have resources and programs to assist you.

If you are having trouble making your mortgage payment, we can help. Altura is participating in California’s forbearance program.
What is a Forbearance?
This forbearance is a temporary stoppage, for 90 days, of your mortgage payment. It is intended to help members directly or indirectly affected by COVID-19. So, if you are out of work, have reduced hours, or in some other way are unable to make your mortgage payment due to COVID-19, here is what we can do:
- We will not collect a mortgage payment for the next three months
- We will not report the lack of payments to the credit reporting agencies during this time
- We will not assess late charges during this time
- After 90 days, we work to reevaluate your situation and determine the best way for you to pay those payments back.
Options Once the Forbearance is over?
Lump Sum: Some members will be able to bring their loan current all at once, and resume payments, and we will work with you to do just that.
Repayment Plan: Other members are better served with a Repayment Plan. With this, you make your regular mortgage payment plus some extra in order to pay off the amount you still owe from your forbearance over a set period of time.
Modification: Some members will need to adjust their monthly payment in order to pay the forbearance amount over time. In a modification, we collect income and expense documents from you such as bank statements and pay stubs and then we look to adjust your term and payment so that you can pay back what’s owed over time.
